Just a couple things....

New Moon and All that...

I saw the 1st matinee showing at 11am. I felt it was close enough to seeing it at midnight since I was unable to get tickets for it. The movie was made so much better than Twilight. I went with my buddy Teresa and her husband Thomas came too, he's the one taking our pictures. Finally, I was able to sport the jacket I had been saving for the movie but because of the baby bump I wasn't able to zip it up, I guess it was more like a vest:) No amber contact lenses for this show considering there are no prego vamps, so I sadly left those at home. We had fun at the show and there wasn't any swooning this time in the theater (a different crowd than last time). While watching we ate our hearts desire New Moon chocolates I picked up at Target:) Cheesy I know but delicious.

I almost wasn't able to go because I forgot Rhett had to work Friday(his schedule had been all over the place for the last few weeks) so what to do about Maeryn last minute. I sent her to a pre-school that is run by a lady who goes to our ward. I was so thankful she could watch her on such short notice. In my mind I kept envisioning Maeryn sitting on my lap through the whole show and wondering if the wolves would frighten her. But it didn't happen so it was all good. Maeryn had a lot of fun at the Pre-school and apparently she already knows how to cut with scissors which took me by surprise considering I've never given her any.

Our Trip to Santa Rosa.....
A mini vacation of sorts. We stayed at the Hyatt Vineyard Hotel which was really nice but not to spendy and just relaxed for a day. It's a really cool city with a million restaurants to choose from and has a lot of charm. We really like it here, it has a lot to offer and only 30 minutes from the coast. Funny enough if we ever moved here it would be ironic for us considering we don't drink and wine is a big theme here. Maybe I should do grape juice tastings on the side for the non- drinkers. On second thought it probably wouldn't fair well.

Maeryn being a goof ball:)

Maeryn was afraid to get to close to that gigantic hand.

I love this type of picture.
Simple gestures that say so much.

Surprise!! We're Having a BOY!!!!

Most people didn't know that we were even pregnant but that is because we were being cautious. About 7-months ago I was 3-months pregnant and had a miscarriage which was devastating and is still hard to talk about. Even with the emotional roller coaster that put us on it made us want a baby even more and 4-months later we had a plus sign on the pregnancy test. Now we are going to be blessed with a baby boy who will be due the first week of April. Life is never predictable, we tried for 3-years to have our first baby thinking it would never happen, now we have Maeryn and another bundle on the way. We are excited and I feel a little on the clueless side on how to manage a boy but I did have a baby brother who did pee on my leg once so I'm partially ready:) I guess I'll have to buy more blue than pink and practice my rough housing skills even though Maeryn does like to wrestle mommy, so I'll check that one off the list:) Hopefully he won't be super sized like Maeryn but we'll see, those Yeakley babies get big!

Hospital Staff to me: "Would you like fries with that large whopper baby?"
Me: "No thank you, but a smaller head on that whopper would be great!:)."

All Hallows Eve

Fairies unite!

We carved our pumpkins the day before. Rhett did the buck tooth pumpkin, I did the middle and Maeryn's which is at the end, I carved it in haste because it was really tough to carve. They quickly disintegrated in 2 days. I've never seen anything decay so fast. It was totally gross.

And Decorated mostly the day of:) Not to much spooky going on but we did play Halloween sounds at night for the trick or treaters. It sounded creepy anyways:)

The enchanted rose fairy who looks like she's ready for some candy:)

Lots of jewel it glue, tweezers and a Leatherman to set the gems. Sometimes I stop myself and ask "why?". But then again I don't really mind, I know she likes her sparkle:)

She's as pretty as a rose. I just want to munch on those cheeks!

I don't know why the pretty little sweet fairy has a rock in her hand and a mischievous look on her face but it makes me laugh.

This makes me laugh too:) Look at those teeth I couldn't deny her candy she might bite me:)

I find these next photo's to be some of my favorites...

Enter the gladiator....(I'm glad I bought this costume for Rhett, "I am gladiator.") I don't know how tough he looks holding that rose.

Funny enough we carted her door to door in her buggy to cover more ground. Maeryn is the slowest walker I know:) She didn't mind being carted around but I told Rhett people might think there's something wrong with her legs. We did let her out for the last couple of houses.

Maeryn enjoyed her sweet loot and so have we:)

Enter Sparkly fairy #2...

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays and I hope it will be one of Maeryn's too.

After we had gotten back from trick or treating we got ready to give out our candy. We really like to do this but unfortunately in the mix of everything Halloween our toilet overflowed all over the bathroom floor and I found myself running next door to borrow the neighbors plunger, in my costume no less. We couldn't find the plunger for a good 30 minutes, oh and I got to see my 80 year old neighbor in his underwear briefly, no pun intended, I'd have to say it was odd. That aside, we found the elusive plunger and I ran as fast as my fairy feet could take me back to the house. Said plunger didn't work, but glad we had a shop vac. Poor Rhett made his back sore vacuuming all the water off the floor. Since then our toilet has been fixed. They had to gut it and put new parts in. We had a great Halloween overall and now I can think of turkey and stuffing, thankfully it's not as involved:)

Lot's of things to catch up on

Rhett's 32nd Birthday or his 3rd 29th birthday was September 15th:) Happy B-Day old man!

My Dad and brother John came down for a short visit. I probably won't see my brother for another year. He is in the Army now and living at the Fort Bragg Base in North Carolina. We played numerous games of Hearts. That seems to have become a tradition when we get together. I only won once.

Maeryn and her Daddy right before climbing the hay pyramid at Hawes Farms Family Fun Days.

My little sunshine girl always has a smile on her face:)

Living the high life at the top I stayed below to take the pics. Besides I'm extremely clumsy!

Fresh corn on the cobb straight from Hawes' corn field and hand dipped in melted butter. I personally went for the food alone.

Our ride in the old west stage coach. I kept imagining Rhett in one of the double breasted suits from the old west. I told him we should be old westerners for the next Halloween. He can be Doc. Holiday and I'll be his girlfriend "Big Nose Kate". Maeryn can be "Annie Oakley" (who by the way is related to my sister in-law Amy, I can totally see her wielding a shot gun:)).

Maeryn's first pony ride on a tiny white fluff ball of a pony named Snow ball no less:) She loved it! I think I may have to invest in one of the rocking horses they have at Costco right now.

I loved this pic of Maeryn and Rhett on the swings. At this point it was 90 Deg. outside and I was trying to hide under a canopy for shade but I managed to get this pic from my hideout. Oh yeah, Rhett tried to slide down the kiddie slide with Maeryn and hit gravel on the way down. The slide was only made to hold small children not a grown man luckily it popped right back into place:) I laughed my head off!

A desperately needed cool treat. Flavor: Lions Blood. Yum!!
